NCL Season 1 Rap Up. [Syntax ]

With our team comming towards the end of NCL, I thought it was time to do a summary of FTW's NCL season in intermediate.

The first thing for me that comes to mind when I first thought of NCL when we were all told that it was comming was "omg here we go someone trying to rip MGL who will fail and waste our time." but in all honesty I could not have asked for a better season. The officlas and general help for it has been great and as a gamer we couldnt of asked for them to be any more accomodating so I would like to take this chance to say thanks heaps James deamon and all the admins has been a great first season :D.

Fuck the worlds season has been one of big ups and downs. Comming into the season we were playing great as a team playing around 7-10 scrims a week against higher end clans and giving them a run for their money and in some cases giving them a lesson or two ;). As soon as the season started however our form that we had gained presseason had disappeared with zEn! giving us a hiding in the first game on de_nuke 16-8, decivex beating us on de_cpl_mill 16-7 and cbk just beating us 16-14. This had the team down and out came all the rage and the clan as a whole had to have a sit down and sort our shit out togeather.

It was from this point that we got our shit togeather decided what we need to focus on and how we were going to go about it. Going into our fourth game on de_inferno was two things, a. de_inferno has always been our strongest map and b. we had to win every game from this point to even have a chance to make the semi finals.

Like good teams should when pressure is applied we came up trumphs winning the game over stylz 16-7 then going on to beat gameover 16-13 on de_train and clound nine in a one sided affair on de_cbble 16-1.

With one more game to go for us to make the semi finals ( a playoff with gameover to see who makes the finals) it will all come down to this monday in a best of 3 maps to make it onto the semis and hopefully the finals. We will be on the Recoil NCL Tourny Black server from 8pm playing go. on de_dust2, de_inferno and de_nuke. As me and the rest of the boys go into this game I feel like we have done great this season already due to our poor start and would like to say no metter if we make semis or not cheers me team and my homies (James, Artem, Tony, Del, Bruce) for the season guys and bring on season 2 and to Yoichi for putting up with all our shit <3 p.s love u carl and heater I dont forget u guys xD.

Wow that event kicked arse!!

We just got home from the pack down and I must say that event went really well.

First off a couple of public thank you's

Steele, rocked out to the venue with an hours notice and dropped off some mean 3-phase power gear. When we realised it might not be enough he took off and got us some more. And boy, did he! Pic of the unit here OMFGPOWER Big thank you to Steele for doing that for us.

Jimminy, BlackV and the rest of the nutters in BT

For our awesome and stable network we had at the lan, and the billion extension cords and 6-way boards. With out that stuff and their help we would never been able to put on such a well organised event. Thanks guys :)

Thanks guys for helping configure all the gear, setup tables and run power and the such like. Working their arses off to bring everyone a great event, we put in a fair amount of effort to make sure the venue was setup right and it came off nicely.

FTW Core Moved Up Into Source Invite. [Syntax ]

After a the recent events of a few teams pulling out from the MGL Source invite league there has been a few vacancies.

With finals time for Source B comming soon MGL has decided to base the winners of season 1 not on the results of finals but on how teams finshed in the round robin.

FTW ended up 3rd in the Source B competition and with 4 teams going up from Source B to Source A we have been chosen to be one of them. Other teams to be moved up into Source A to join ktp*, p0w ! and NewtypE // are , GT |, [SMG] and [H]alo. While this has happend the teams that have not been moved up will stay in Source B while the clans from Source C will be moved up to leave it at only 2 divisions not 3.

We (FTW) kick off Season 2 on Wednesday the 24th of August against Know The Power on de_contra which can be downloaded from here good luck and have fun to both teams and im sure we can hope for another great season of Source action.
